Curator: Elio Schenini

Twins from Zurich, Marco and Reto Huber (b. 1975) are an 'art duo'. Since 2005 they have come to the attention of the Swiss art scene thanks to a multiform work which as the result of a variety of languages - the collage, drawing and installations - faces very up-to-date themes treating the relationship between nature and civilization, science and symbolic language. Irrespective of whether their works are drawings that take up images from science books, collages of ethnographic photographs or else elaborations of natural elements, they manage to engross us in a series of questions regarding the destiny of mankind and its relationship with the environment. Poised between lightheartedness and irony, in this investigation one nevertheless always feels the disquieting tension of a looming threat.
